River Rafting Outing for Day 4

Hey Tour Riders, how would you like to end a day of riding in a raft on the scenic North Platte River?

We have two river outfitters who will take 5-6 people per boat in guided rafts from Treasure Island into Saratoga on Wednesday, July 15 (day 4 of the Tour).

Guided means somebody else does the "driving" and you are a leisurely passenger. The outfitters provide snacks and pop and one will allow you to bring your own beverages/beer if you like.

Cost is $45 to $50 per person. The float takes about 2-3 hours and is pretty gentle and family-friendly – not a whitewater “adventure.” This shortens the ride that day by about 10-12 miles, and you will need to be at the starting point by early afternoon (it's about 67 miles from our start in Baggs). A one mile dirt road leads from our route that day to the start of the float.

The outfitters will shuttle your bikes into town on flatbed trailers with care, but they will assume no responsibility for damages. The Tour is looking into other ways of shuttling floaters' bikes, but we can't promise anything now, and may not find another option.

The endpoint of the float will be right at the Saratoga hot springs (float and soak!) and not far from where we will be staying that night.

We're sure the guides will have all sorts of stories (and lies) about the river and the fish that got away.

Sound like fun? Space is limited to about 50 people, and will be filled first come, first served.
